Donated by the United States to the Lebanese Internal Security Forces The Dodge Charger invaded the capital streets with an elegant yet wicked new look. A true police car indeed that just doesnt fit being an ordinary family car or a sports car icon. We aren’t the only country that uses this car as a police vehicle. Most of the States in USA in addition to Mexico take advantage of this car to make sure no one breaks the law.
Although this car has a lot of advantages that makes the lebanese proud with their American Prize I honestly think that the car doesn’t fit our capital nor our country. The V8 5.7L engine is a fuel consuming monster that needs a gas station alone to make it running, in a country where the fuel prices are high and costy. Even the V6 version of the vehicle isn’t a lot better. Our goverment is already weakened by debts and loans that are growning in number each year and we don’t need any more expenses.
Moreover every car is subject to deterioration and in Lebanon this process is quickened by the terrible road conditions. These vehicles that are put to service on the lebanese roads will eventually use body parts to keep them in perfect condition. However it is not a secrete that this car’s accessories are expensive and the up keep is costy. Especially because the “Dodge” is American Made and the body parts must be imported from overseas. Which is bad news to the Lebanese goverment but good news to the Americans. Didn’t the Americans think of that before ? .Well guess again because their donation feels like the trojan horse to our economy.

Actually the 5.7L 2011+ has MDS technology which powers down cylinders under low load conditions.
I haw the ’12 model and I get 28+ MPG on the freeway, the average MPG for city/freeway combined is 20MPG.
Obviously if you drive it like a nutcase it will still eat fuel. Any car this powerful will use lots of gas if you floor it.
Exactly! but the models found in lebanon and owned by th ISF (Lebanese Internal Security Forces) are older than the 2011 model and don’t have this fuel-saving technology
